Start the day being picked up at your hotel in Alba and being driven through the lovely Piedmont countryside to a small vineyard near Bra to learn about the fascinating history and motivation behind the Slow Wine movement. Follow this with a delicious four-course lunch, created from the area’s finest produce, at the charming restaurant where Carlo Petrini, a self-confessed professional gourmet, founded the Slow Food Movement in the 1980s. After exploring the interesting town of Bra, relax on the drive back to your hotel.

Highlights include being chauffeur driven from your hotel in Alba to Barolo where you can delight in the beautiful landscapes and enjoy your first wine-tasting. Lunch will also be served here, and you will have the chance to savour four delicious courses, each inspired by the local wine. Following lunch, you will be driven to Barbaresco to visit a smaller, family run vineyard where you will be introduced to the delights of Barbaresco wines. After a memorable day of wine, you will be driven back to your hotel, giving you time to contemplate and make the difficult choice of whether Barolo or Barbaresco is your favourite wine.
